Prevention
|
|
We all know that prevention is better than cure and this is eminently applicable
to the arena of oral health. Not only does prevention of oral problems save you
time and money, it also saves you from highly avoidable pain. Above all, it saves
the invaluable natural tooth structure. When you come to the office we are not only
interested in treating you for your complaint, but we are interested in preventive
therapy as well and you are informed and trained for the same, including preventive
household oral care.

Treatment:
|
We practice what we call Four Handed Dentistry, i.e. treatment from the dentist
and assistant together for simple, safe, effective and comfortable dentistry with
optimal outcomes. Involvement of the dental assistant in the procedure takes care
of the allied functions of the treatment like holding of the saliva suction tip
in the mouth while the dentist can concentrate on the treatment. We insure that...
- Before you are start with the dental treatment you are fully informed about the
treatment and made aware of the various options, so that you are a part of the decision
taken regarding your treatment.
- All doubts raised by you are well clarified in an informative and honest manner.
- The treatment outcome details that are necessary are also conveyed.
- Post procedure you are well informed of the instructions that you need to follow
and the instructions are supported with printed instruction sheets.
- You are informed about the next appointment and necessary changes are made according
to your needs and convenience.
- Over and above all else we know the value of time, so we ensure that your visits
are small and productive.

Home Instructions (After Care):
|
|
After any treatment procedure at our clinic, you are made aware of the do’s and
dont’s of the situation. Following the instructions of your doctor can help you
extend your treatment to the best degree. For example, if your doctor has instructed
you to avoid hard and sticky food and drinks like tea and coffee that can stain
your restoration, following these instructions carefully and meticulously can enhance
the productivity of your restoration. After your treatment is completed, you are
given instructions verbally by your doctor along with an instruction manual/leaflet.
If necessary, a complete home care Compact Disc (CD) is also given to you. The home
care instructions would also consist of instructions regarding your daily oral hygiene
maintenance, which would include the right technique to brush and the tooth paste
and tooth brush type that you need. Details of flossing/inter dental cleaning and
mouth rinsing; with the right technique and the product category most suitable for
you, are also given.

|
Continued Care
|
|
With the treatment initiated after every appointment, all post treatment precautions
and care are conveyed to you by your doctor. In addition to this verbal communication
you are provided with an instruction guide in the form of a CD or a printed copy,
so that you always have them ready at hand. Even after your treatment is completed
at GDC, we ensure that you are reminded of your regular dental checkups according
to your schedule through phone call, mail and message.
